The Bhut jolokia is also known as Ghost pepper, Ghost chili, U-morok, Red naga, Naga jolokia and Bih jolokia originated from Manipur, India and is 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce. It is an inter specific hybrid chili pepper cultivated in the Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur. It is used in both fresh and dried forms, to not only “heat up” curries, pickles and chutneys, but also to impart two distinct flavors to them.
So far I have had 2 encounters with this bad boy and found it exceptionally hot both times. The first being at Zora where I was served BHUT JOLOKIA TANDOORI MURG with cilantro foam which was something I had for the first time and it really couldn’t cater to my taste as I wasn’t really aware about the heat content.
I really want to give it another chance to completely understand the concept. (That’s with a bottle of chilled in house soda served at ZORA)

I was skeptical in trying something which had Bhut Jolokia added to spice it for the second time as I had a very unpleasant experience previously yet I went with my gut and gave it a shot and to my surprise I developed a liking for it after my second encounter. It was yet another PEO Palatable at Khorisa. We were served the Bhut Jolokia Chicken, Believe me, I had tears rolling down my cheeks right after the first bite, tried a few more bites after wiping my tears off and that’s when I realized Variety is the spice of my life!
To conclude I’d just say that the Bhut Jolokia is truly the nastiest bastard of Food industry!
